Authentic wooden ship replicas of the Mediterranean Sea,including Vosporus and Black Sea from the ancient times up to the end of the 20th ce.
The history of the traditional shipbuilding is presented by a collection of more than 150 different wooden ship models.
All models are handmade , scratch built , constructed by traditional methods under scale , using authentic original materials.
The size of the hull , ranges from 60 cm to 200 cm.

BATELA of GRADO
Boat of the area of Grado, a town and commune in the north-eastern Italian region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia.
GOZZO LIGURE
Typical boat of Sicily. For the construction of the model, I followed the plans of E. Guerreri and S.Bellabarba.
BATANA COPPERTA of ROVINJ
Typical boat of the aera of Rovigno, Istria on the north Adriatic Sea.
SPAGNOLETTA
Typical fisherman's boat of Algeria which exists today. The model of the boat is a replica of Spagnoletta of the year 1938. Plans by S.BELLABARBA and E. GUERRERI.
BYZANTINE DROMON 4
The dromon or “runner” was the standard oared warship of this period. With 54 oars on each side, arranged in two banks, above and below deck, it could manage about 4 knots under ideal conditions.

The constructor follows a strictly traditional way of construction for the models, just like the shipwrights used to build them over the centuries.
He uses authentic materials, similar to those used by the original manufacturers. All models are built to scale.
